Yep, the last wedge from last night's corn bread. The batter was the best I've ever made. The baked result was up there, but not comparable to my grandmother's. Tomorrow, the plan calls for taking a panfull to work. Perhaps that sample will be even better. Perhaps even with a video in lieu of a recipe.
There's also that wee matter of measuring ingredients. I don't do that. My mother didn't. My grandmother didn't. I see no reason to fly in the face of their perfection.
