The Buzz: A sense of doom settled over the American coastline from Louisiana to Florida on Saturday as a massive oil slick spewing from a ruptured well kept growing, and experts warned that an uncontrolled gusher could create a nightmare scenario if the Gulf Stream carries it toward the Atlantic.
Oil spewing into the gulf under a mile of water. Insufficient technology to do much about it. And we have people who want to do more of this?
I think that money is better spent elsewhere. You could maybe make the case that nukes are safer than offshore drilling.
So where does the gulf stream go?
Let's think pretty much everywhere by the time it's all, said, done, and linked to other ocean currents.
