An old friend

While being smart on the phone and icing my twisted ankle, I randomly notice the teensy cheloid on my wrist. I got it when I was about 20 on HaRay's farm.

We were connecting the power takeoff on one of the tractors, maybe the Ford, to a bush hog.

A large bent nail secured the connection. Remember this was on a farm 35 years ago. The bent nail was a perfectly good connection security device.

Probably still is.

So HaRay starts it all. But my hand was too close.

The nail won, and the rest is history. Another inch, and the story might have been different.

That's one of the another inches that I know about. I wonder how many others I failed to notice along the way?
