South Korean child starves as parents raise virtual baby

The parents allegedly spent hours following their internet obsession.

What happened: A South Korean couple who were addicted to the internet let their three-month-old baby starve to death while raising a virtual daughter online, police said.

The couple lost their jobs, and soon lost their sense of reality to the net.

Beyond tragic.

How often do we read such? And if course, with the requisite blame placed on the net.

There is nothing new here, people. We just have a new place to put the blame. People have been losing their minds since the beginning of time and people.

We even have religions that have encouraged parents to deny food and health care to their children.

You'd think there'd be an app for that by now.
