The buzz: "Seesmic, maker of popular desktop and mobile Twitter clients, has just acquired Ping.fm — a service that lets users post to 50 social networks with a single status update — for an undisclosed sum."
Oh dear, my favorite little app from the Federated States of Micronesia has been gobbled up by Seesmic, an app that I don't use. I could use Seesmic, but doing do would present redundant apps on this iPhone.
Do you suppose I'll be able to trade in my Ping app for a few weeks of vacay in Micronesia?
No? Dang! That buck's worth of investment in Ping ought to be worth a little something.
