AP: Opponents often use personal religious beliefs to deny equality to our minority gay population.

New Jersey. 120 clergy. 19 religions.

One letter: "The letter urged these legislative leaders to put this issue to a vote in both houses, without precondition, before the end of this legislative session. The clergy members said, "We take issue with the State's current marriage law, which is not religiously neutral but reflects the beliefs of leaders of a particular faith community which opposes marriage equality."

New Jersey? Unexpected and good to see.
