OK, so Google and China are playing a game of chicken now.
Google went into China probably on the usual thinking that if x% of the people click an ad, we'll make $Y revenue.
Regardless of how sound or simplistic that thinking might have been, Google should now be hearing the other shoe drop.
China is about the least Googly country on this planet. Transparency? Openness? Simplicity? Don't be evil?
I really doubt we can use those words to describe in accurate detail how business, government, and perhaps life itself life function in China.
To this end, China could use a little more revolution if it wants to play on the open field with the rest of the children, but I doubt that's going to happen anytime soon.
